Once Upon a Time… I was a ski instructor, and for the most part, my days were filled with joy and wonder. I do remember some challenges, but I was always grateful once I was strapped in and carving up the mountain.
Then, I suffered a career-ending knee injury and left the industry, and then later, I left Colorado… In the decades that followed, I raised a family and built a successful business in Wisconsin.

My journey back to the slopes began with a desire to rediscover the bliss I used to feel skiing. I wasn’t sure it was even possible, but I was determined to give it a shot.
I lost 100 pounds. I’ve had SIX orthopedic surgeries/repairs. I quit drinking (yep – over 5 years ago), and I’m having my right knee replaced with a high-tech artificial joint this off-season!
